The Division of Anatomy of Vienna, together with the Medical Imaging Cluster (MIC) of the Medical University of Vienna and the Austrian BioImaging/CMI, our Node in Austria, will host an international, hands-on Tutorial and networking meeting on HREM imaging.
HREM is a section-based technique for generating digital 3D volume data of a wide range of biological samples and a key technology for phenotyping embryos of genetically engineered mouse lines. The workshop will briefly introduce HREM and its applications and offer a theoretical and practical tutorial on sample preparation, data generation and data handling. It will provide tips and tricks for successful HREM imaging and sharpen the awareness for pitfalls, limitations and challenges.
