Abstract

Light My Cells, the first France BioImaging Image Challenge

Dorian Kauffmann,

FBI Challenges Project, FBI Node, FR

In order to answer bioimaging demands, France-BioImaging launched its first data machine learning competition in January 2024: Welcome to the Light My Cells challenge!

The Light My Cells challenge aims at contributing to the development of new image-to-image ‘deep-label’ methods in the fields of biology and microscopy. The goal is to predict the best-focused output-images of several organelles labelled with fluorescence from label-free transmitted light input-images.

At the Euro-BioImaging User Forum, Dorian Kauffmann will present the Light My Cells France-Bioimaging challenge, including a discussion of the challenge process and metrics, as well as the constitution of the challenge dataset from multiple facilities across France.

If you want to contribute to this challenge

You can apply and test your algorithm right now as the training database is already available! To learn more about the challenge and submit your application, please visit the Light My Cells page on Grand Challenge website at https://lightmycells.grand-challenge.org/.

You have until the end of the first phase, on March 30, 2024, to register and participate.

Please feel free to share this challenge with your colleagues who might be interested!
